He loves Microsoft Technology and is considered one of the best in his field. Veeam Engineers have a fix for this issue but to my knowledge you still have to go through typical support process for them to determine you need the fix and release a copy of the hot fix.
It is not as straightforward as a typical Veeam software update but seems to have resolved our instance of this issue.
